Camille Laurent, a 29-year-old woman with Rheumatoid Arthritis, has been passionate about nature and sports since she was very young. Discovering the universe of Nicolas Vanier at the age of 10, she was immediately conquered. However, at the age of 16, she was diagnosed with a debilitating disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, which attacks and degrades all of her joints.
In 2017, Camille created the Bell'espoir association to raise funds for medical research into rheumatic diseases. She then embarked on her first adventure: crossing the Vercors on horseback and with her dogs. She publishes her first story "Bell'aventure", prefaced by Nicolas Vanier who has become her friend over the years.
This book was the triggering event. Camille now devotes herself to her passion for writing and going on an adventure with her faithful companion, Max, a 5-year-old border collie. Since then, she has continued to share her journeys and hold exhibitions and sales. Following this great success, she designed a logo that could represent them to respond to many encouraging requests to continue to develop her business more seriously and concretely.
At the start of 2021, Camille submitted a file to register and promote her beautiful "Max l'aventurier" logo as a French brand, with the aim of creating her business for the sale of clothing, accessories, books and photographs with the effigy of Max the adventurer.
Camille and Max have already traveled many kilometers together, from crossing the Vercors to descending the ViaRhôna to reach the Mediterranean Sea, via the Tour de la Corse on a Sidebike. In summer 2021, they will leave for their next great adventure: crossing Lapland, around 800 km in autonomy to the North Cape, sponsored by the adventurer and director Nicolas Vanier. At the end of this journey, a third story will be published, as well as articles in their local newspaper, the Dauphiné Libéré.
For this cycling adventure, Max And the City, has chosen to support Camille and Max by providing them with a bicycle helmet adapted to their journey. This partnership will allow Camille to travel safely and continue to promote the values of adventure, discovery and environmental protection that are dear to her heart.
